Why is it so hard to find the perfect fit? Hire me...
I know so many people who are ready now.
All they need is an open door.
Everyone at some point in their life looks
for the perfect fit.
Can we not find the perfect fit because we
live in a country that sets us up to fail?
Is it too hard to find the perfect fit because
of the short or long time we had to do in Jail?
But our pasts are over with. The future
should not always be predictable, based off of
our pasts. How do we embrace change when
the rest of the world only sees us as the same?
Why is it so hard to find a career? The perfect
fit, where is it? We try but all we hear is your
not qualified. So who is qualified? Are we all
on equal grounds? I wonder why our country
is designed....
Open your doors, let me in! I am the perfect fit
to help you win! Give me a shot, just one chance.
Let me work by your side to help the world move
in one positive stride. I am like you. I just want
an interview.
I am just looking for the perfect fit.
I just want to Work.
(This goes out to all those who have the talent to succeed but keep getting
held back by things like a police record. I feel your pain and frustration.)
Thanks for the really inspiring poem. It's really a dog -e- dog world out there as it has always been. I don't know about anyone else, but any medical career is hot right now especially for RNs and it takes about 18 months to 22 months to complete a program at a 2 year school. For people who have been incarcerated, I think the best thing would be to start there own businesses like carpentry, plumbing, brick masontry, internet business, mechanics, ect... Let's face the fact that it is darn near impossible to land a job as an ex-convict.
