My 8th grade son, is receiving a science award next wk. And a major part of his success is His study of the Earth. The Earth is a moving, living created thing and his scholarship for Him, revealed that earthquakes are a part of the shifting of the moving earth, that tornadoes are the cold and warm airs Naturally mixing.

I have never taught any of my children superstition, but science and reality---as harry says--LIFE--must be a part of any Understanding of the things the Creator has given the Family of Adaam.......

Hi Irma, I was wondering where you were. The hail must not have been that big if you found it soothing. When I lived in Denver you would see many cars with dents all over them. That's what happens when the get to be the size of marbles or bigger. It is interesting though if you are in a sheltered place and have not just bought a new car as I did once.

Fortunately I found a drive through car wash in time to hide in.

Interesting you mention Philo as I will soon do a blog about him. I was just reviewing the first of his treatises I have read to find the parts I want to excerpt.

Philo was part of the Jewish community living in Alexandria, a contemporary of Jesus, John Baptist, and Paul. Curiously he doesn't seem to know of any of them. But Alexandria was the center of both the Hellenistic culture and the Jewish diaspora, and he combines both traditions. He wrote in Greek, it being the lingua franca of the time. tODAY IT WAS OUR TURN OT HAVE TARNADOES AND HAIL. One was in open fields and not homes of lives struck. The other few touch downs did little to no harm. On very larg professioanl hen house got the roof blown off but the chickens were left un harmed. As we are so clos E to the pacific ocean maybe this will be he end of these tarnadoes for now...LETS ALL PRAY FOR SOME RELIEF FROM THESE FOR NOW. (SMILE)

@robert give that budding scientist a great big hug for me. He is so correct on this. Tell him I want to know why the hail each time? As hail is pretty maybe taht is to sooth the nerves after hit by one of those tarnadoes maybe.

I believe "I" got a little depressed as I so look for ward to the unity of all of us in these different faiths each Sunday. I start to get excited on Saturday wondering what the prayer and medidation is going to be each week.

No Steve the hail nor the tarnadoes were very big. the youth had a lot of fun taking pictures of them...it seem some of the tornadoes were setting records for size and speed. ONe in Chico and the other I believe was in willows.


Yes I look forward to learning about Philo...was he Greek? I believe the Greeks learned from the Arabians...and, China had left them all in the dark???...but unity always makes something good so much better...back then they had time for learning by way of trial and error not today...just throw it togather and pray it don't end up killing you if you eat, drink wear or drive it.looooooooooooooooool (smile)
