Figures from the May unemployment rate shows growth in the "declining figures" when it came to finding jobs and new hires. Most experts thought there would be an increase for the unemployed, but instead there was a rise of lesser jobs being created in the business markets for new workers. These figures show a weak labour market with 64.2% of the labour participation rate. Finance experts quote that this is the "worst recession since WWII' as far a employment is concerned. President Obama expressed in a recent news conference that he was hoping for the job market to move a little faster, but hasn't given up that eventually the workfoce will have an increase of jobs. He's urging America not to panic. One report indicated that at least 14 million people are without jobs.

The jobs are posted, but employers are not hiring in order to cut corners having their current employees to do more or to work short staff (at least that seems to be the trend in my hospital and in other area hospitals). Hopefully President Obama's administration can encourage employers to hire even if its part time jobs or temp work. Something would be better than nothing. Just curious, what is the blog pic of ?

My question is when will this be acknowledged as a Depression? Well my answer is, not until it's over and has been put in the History books. But what exactly does Obama mean by don't panic? Tell that to the ones who are NOT experiencing the pain.

I think it will get better, I look at the hopeful side that employment and even the housing market will gradually come back. At an all time low...we have to bend back up in order to stand and survive. ..

Jen click on the pic and you'll see the person standing on the word J O B S. The little person is holding onto a statistic scale or margin. I admit it's not a usual pic. But that's me sometimes...I'm a bit extraordinary I've been told that. Ha! Ha!

Steve... will be acknowledge as a depression? I really don't think that word is wanted to be acknowleged among politictians. They may feel they are failing the people "Do panic" does not help encourgements to those who ar without jobs.. Many of them already are feeling hopeless and have families to care for. They may find that a bit more hard to swallow. I don't think that's much comfort for them either.

Jake those firms are holding on themselves in fear of the economy. I feel they are squeezing every resource to stay afloat even needing to hire they like Jen said they don't really pursue employ but keep a freeze on even trying hiring risk that taking on a employees would probably help instead of hurt. They'd rather over work existing staff to burn out!
