Why does it seem like a lot of hiring companies who want to hire minorities, only tend to want women?

Is a black man or any man of color a threat? What is the threat to the company?
What strength do minority woman bring to the table?
Maybe the companies have enough minority men at their organization..?

If we take the women out the households to go work, then who is left to raise the
kids in a nurturing motherly kind of way? Noone. Is it the men we are expecting
to stay home?

Minority men need to be better than women to get a chance at being wanted as
a new hire.

What fields thirst for minority men? Education, Engineering, or Healthcare?
If corporate world is going to be very inviting to minority men, maybe they
are better off taking their dreams of providing for their families and serving
their country to the land of sports, entertainment, or church.

Or maybe he should create his own company.....

Something to ask yourself...

Hello Ms. Moss,

You said that or maybe the Black Man should create his own company. I think that you are thinking closed to the bottom to say his own company.

What would happen if you could think on the very top level and say have his own country?
When I say country I'm talking about inheriting a reasonable and fertile portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders?

The reasonable and fertile portion let's say would be from the borders of North and South Carolina to the Canadian border and from the Mississippi River to the Atlantic Ocean.

Is not this desire to have a country greater than having a company in White America?

Tell me what you think.

I'm not sure I understand whether the question is speaking of African American or African men in general. For me, there is no lack of Immigrants from Africa being employed because most are over qualified with a minimum of Grad. Degree and work as physcians, lawyers, engineers, and pharmacists; however, the case is different among African American men with serious deficits except in Sports and Entertainment arena.

I'm not sure what the specific reasons (perhaps multifactorial in nature) but there needs to be something more done to fill the gaps among African American men whether there be encouragement towards entepreneurship with grants, fellowships, externships, mentorships, SOMETHINGSHIP! I do know that the healthcare sector is in desperate need of African American physcians, nurses, pharmacists, healthcare ceo's and directors.
