Hello, hello to all,

I had a dialogue with my friends at the Y that I would like to share with BIA. Perhaps, you all can tell me if my friends were right or if I am right, okay.

My friends think that White America took everything a Black man had invented. They named the traffic lights as an example.

I weighed in and told them that White America did not take anything from us because Black Americans belong to White Americans anyway. Therefore, anything that Black Americans invent it would automatically become the property of White Americans. Am I making any sense?

White Americans brought our ancestors like you would go to a pet shop and buy a dog. Now, if at some time that dog digs up a valuable coin in the backyard do not the coin automatically belongs to the dog's master? You all cannot rationalize in a straight line.

My friends flipped out when I explain that White people still owns us, Black Americans. They started talking loud and told me that White people do not own them.
I asked them if they remembered ROOTS. I brought them to the scene where Mr. Reynolds sold Kasey the daughter of Ms. Bell and Kunti Kenta (Toby). Even though Kasey was biological belong to her mother and father Mr. Reynolds was the real owner of Kasey. Am I making any sense?

So, I ended the dialogue by asking them when did the time come that White Americans no longer own Black Americans. Was it after the Civil War? The time had not come yet; but, in my life time White Americans will no longer own us, Black Americans. I said; tell me when White Americans no longer owned Black Americans.
They stormed out the lounge room without answering me.

So, maybe one or two of you intelligent BIA can tell me if I am wrong. Do any of you all think that White Americans still own Black Americans?
