Who established these lines? Where do they come from?

Here's my theory:

Back in the Prehistorical days, probably somewhere in Africa, since that is where the human race emerged, various family groups lived communally as hunters and gatherers.

When a stranger appeared who was not familiar to them, who was not a part of their tribal group, they viewed that person as a threat.

That person was an outsider.

That was when the first line was drawn.

We no longer live in the kind of world where a person who approaches us who we do not know, someone from a different ethnic, national or racial group, that person is no longer a threat to us.

Unless, of course, they have a weapon and are actually threatening us.

We now know that most people, no matter what family, tribe or group they might belong to, want the same things as we do--to find happiness in life for themselves and their loved ones.

So I would say those lines are an artifact of ancient history and are no longer relevant.
