People At Work Are Stressing Me Out!!

I'm not sure if you guys remember, but I'd posted a blog about being understaffed and overworked that had a picture of this poor nurse sitting on the ground by a fence. ... The same blog photo seen today in this blog>>>> In that blog, I concluded that the next time I was sick, I'd call in and not call back to see if they had found a replacement for my shift. I would think the health care profession would understand about stress and needing sick time. So no, you should not call back. And I hope you feel better soon!

Hey Jen:

Man...that photot says it all.

I do feel for you...as a member of a profession that is also overworked, underpaid, disrespcted, blamed for systemic failures out of their control and generally under seige...yes, I feel for you.

Realistically, though, the situation ain't gonna change any time soon. I can tell you what I have done when I found myself in toxic, untenable situations where my emotional health was at risk--I got the heck out of there.

It's just not worth the battles.

I am sure you have looked into other situations. Your professional skills are highly valued and in demand, right?

When a plant isn't flowering in it's pot, sometimes you need to transplant it.

Take your talent, skill, expertise and intelligence somewhere where they will be more valued!!!

Good luck!

And Jen, I am with you all the way!!!

@Jen, this should perk you up, because this is something neither you nor I ever thought you would be hearing me saying...Jen today "I" got to send all of my respect and love to your governor for something shown his doing in a public speech on The Last Word w Lawrence O'Donnell...

and, O'Donell and all of his staff gave your governor a standing ovation...and, Jen, I am sure that your governor after this speech knows he is no longer welcome in thepolitical party of Christian, family values. And , this took a lot for him to do.lol (smile)
