Wow! I don't think natural disasters as they are so called are not less common than they used to be. Frequently they come! Memphis is also on a "fault line" although we haven't been shaken for a few years back in 2001 I believe. It was very mild just a little light shaking the quake was over in our neighboring Missouri. Only thing about quakes...there is really no place to go!

@JF : ) I'm well...
Hay! Just wanted you to know I'm been sticking to my diet and exercise. I've lost only 4 pounds, but my inches are up to 4 to 5 off the stomach and 3 inches off the thighs! I've been shaking! Ha! Ha! My son calls me "slim mama" LOL!

You know what ladies?...I think this quake today really has people on edge. We see and hear about Japan, and Mexico, California and Argentina all the time; but it's so rare to have one in Washington and New York...even those states of Virginia and SC. It's a bit "uneasy" is the way I'd describe it. Just thinking about that....

Irma I'm glad everybody's okay.

"I" am less shocked of an earth quake on the east coast since my home state has experienced this impossiability of an earth quake a few years ago...living out here in Ca. one can almost expect an earth quake...but there is no way for a quake to be able to compute to those like me from teh east coast as this is such a new phenomnon. (smile)

And, with N.Y. this close to 9-11 I know they are in a natural panic...

ROBINSON IRMA Thursday, April 10th 2014 at 6:47PM

...but, the blessing intis is it is going to provide many, many jobs for our citizens in desperate needs of jobs. (smile)

@JEN,I just got off th ephone with my best friend at my home town in N.C. She told me when the quake hit she felt nothing, but her son was in his room watching it on his tv. He came out to tell her about the quake and went into a panic when he saw her face down on the floor...

she said she had dropped a pill and was on teh floor tryng t find it when her son thought the quake had knocked her to the floor. (smile)

My daughter in Philly did not feel it but her husband and childen felt it and turned on the tv to find out what had happened as they saw noting that could have caused this movement. everyone so far are all fine. (smile)
