I remembering hearing that chant Nammyoho-renge-kyo in the "What's Love Got to Do With It" when Tina Turner played by Angela Bassett was with the ex back ground singer's house. It's sounded rather soothing and I've never forgot that phrase.

Because, more people on this site mostly see prayer/ religious action as not of our own will, in a sense when I call chanting praying it is false...inmy NDB religio or practice, the individual is the onlyone held responsible for their own actions...so our chant is more of a "Now when you finish praying, get u and make it a truth come to rality and if there is any thing out there stopping you never give in toit, because if you do you can never reach happiness that o one, person, thing can take from you in tis life time...this is called reaching Buddhahood...Buddha was a man just like you and me we don't try to shuck our duty by calling thisman a G-O-D for his teaching how to over come the problems of : births, sickness, old age and death along with we are human beings just as he was so were are his equal in our unlimitled powers to do right or to do wrong...TO BECOME A BUDDHA IN THIS LIFE TIME AS BUDDHA MEANS ONE WHO HAS BECOME ENLIGHTENED. (smile)

What matters is that Y-O-U become a brilliant beacon, shining with joy and happiness, and live life with confidence and courage.If you shine with a radiant light, there can be no darkness in your life. (smile)
