Hello Music Heads! U 105, HBCU Radio, has officially launched!
The HBCU Network (www.HBCUNetwork.com), a 24hour 365 days-a-year network dedicated to the education, entertainment, sports, and lifestyles of the 105 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s) across the United States, launches the first in its media portfolio-a digital radio station, U 105 Radio. The HBCU network’s radio station is available online at www.HBCURadio.com and in a linear format in 2012 to coincide with the launch of the cable network.
U 105 Radio is designed to be an engaging, interactive media platform Where Visions, Voices and Community Live. U105 Radio will broadcast live from the company’s headquarters’ in Atlanta, Ga. The radio station has created a business model that will offer opportunities for students and faculty to contribute to programming, participate as on-air personalities, and provide internship and job opportunities tailored for HBCU students.
Playing 50% of Emerging Talent to 50% of the Hits, U 105 Radio is currently accepting musical submissions for air-play (consideration) at www.HBCURadio.com.
