After days of disruptions across Europe and Asia millions were left without a "text word" as communication services among Blackberry users failed. The culprit was aimed at a fixing a switching failure which caused many to be left without service. Research in Motion also called RIM stated that problems were being resolved. Services through Tweeters were also effected by the blackout of messages. Problems involved messages and browsing delays. This created a bad timing for RIM as the latest edition of Apple Smartphones are heating up to gaining and maintaining control. Many dissatisfied consumers will choose to cancel their services. This disruptions was reaported as the largest outage since it swept across North America two years ago. In additon to the consumer's disruptions company systems of e-mail also were part of the outage who were frustrated by the long delay to restore things back to normality. Other countries experienced similar shut down were from India to Australia, and Brazil and Chile.
