This video might be the coolest part of your weekend.

Made with NASA photos taken 240 miles above Earth at the International Space Station, the gorgeous time-lapse documents some of the world's most stunning views. Pay close attention to the Aurora Borealis, featured in the first two shots.

Artist Michael König edited the piece. Check out raw footage of Earth courtesy of NASA.

Hey Jen:

Great to hear from you. Yes, I think this is AWESOME.

I don't think anyone can look at this video and NOT come to the conclusion that we are all brothers and sisters here on this small planet.

Hey its nice hearing from you, too. I missed you! Yes, you're absolutely right about the brother and sister connection. Even Ray Charles if he were still alive could see that. Opps I meant to write the word 'sight' and not site. I know you're a teacher so you probably gave me a pass on that one seeing how we're such good friends, eh!

Hey Jen:
ABSOLUTELY!!! Thank you so much for your kind words. You know I think the world of you.

And just for the record--your Ray Charles comment was actually right on the mark--I think even he would agree--and Stevie Wonder too. There is a depth to sight that allows people to perceive the world without the eyes. So your observation was more on target than you might realize!!!

thanks for that!
