A gas explosion struck the early morning rush commute in Xi’an, the capital of Saanixi province killing 9 civilians and injuring 34. The front of a local restaurant knocked out windows exploding with shattering glass, wood boards and plastic moldings. The news source stated that many suffered face, head, hands and body wounds. Most of the victims were children walking by or waiting to board the bus. Cause of the explosion was targeted from a liquefied petroleum gas leak inside the food chain’s cooking area.
