Apparently My Mgr Hadn't Heard of the Saying, If You Scratch My Back, I'll Scratch Yours
You guys might not remember the blog I did where I'd gone to work when I was sick and in pain after initially calling sick because my unit was begging for help due to short staffing. Anyway... I got burned ( patient lied and said ... I told him I wasn't his maid, supervior wrote me up because I wouldn't allow her to bully me, colleague said untrue things against me because I'm not in the 'clique', and my manager disciplined me since she's intimidated that I might want her job-- now that I'm getting my Master's --- with the incident now appearing on my employee file ) ... No consideration that I came in when I was sick to help her unit out nor that it was my first complaint.
To bring you up to speed...
This past Thursday, this same manager called me at home looking for help for the unit for the weekend because they were short staffed (again) with only 3 nurses scheduled to work today. My manager must have bumped her head ya'll! She should have known that I don't do favors especially since I believe... "If you scratch my back, I"ll scratch yours."
Do you think she got the message?
