ROMNEY AD IS “ENTIRELY A LIE…PRESIDENT’S WORDS SURGICALLY REMOVED FROM THEIR CONTEXT TURNING THEM INTO LIES.”

THE LAST WORD, November 22, 2011 — Lawrence O'Donnell piled on Mitt Romney during his Tuesday show, saying the GOP presidential candidate had told a flat-out lie in his first television ad of the 2012 campaign.

Romney drew fire for the ad, which shows President Obama saying, "if we keep talking about the economy, we're going to lose," but does not point out that Obama was quoting John McCain at the time.

“The Romney campaign deliberately did not play the entire quote in context,” said O’Donnell. "Mitt Romney's first television ad is simply and entirely a lie.”

He said Romney was "testing the media" to find out whether people would call the spot a lie. "The truth is, most of the media is going to allow those things to fly as if they are the standard-issue spin of campaigns."

He will get away with this crap--if the media allows it.

Great point, Lena.

We'll see. It will really be intersting to see if he gets away with it or comes to believe it will gain him votes. If so, we are sure to see a lot more of this kind of thing.

Rich, I for one am glad that it looks like now the 99%ers are no longer falling for the biggest, and most reported lie- lier which it now looks like the only thing left for those campaigning against our president can at best only hope to be what is now being called...

THE RIGHT WING FLAVOR OF THE MONTH. LOL!!! (SMILE)
