VALENTINE'S POETRY: FOR MY BROTHERS

FOR MY BROTHERS:

I'd picked the darkest chocolates..
to place upon their tongues.

They will speak of love; in
deepest richest colors of
the night.
Their mouths will be bitter sweet'
and what a treat
is dark chocolate for them
...just right.

For my brothers..
I would hold their hands tightly
and grip their fists in my hands
so they will strike a blow of love
that I could hold
and as it
would leave their mark of compassions
upon my soul.

For my brothers..
I would take their laughters and
place them in a jar
with a top
and forever, O Boy!
I could hear their cries of joy!

I would keep the jar in a safe place,
and would open it very close to my face.

That I too, with them laugh and cry.

For my brothers I would give them
a Valentine present in a pretty box, even dainty
and lovely.
It would contain inside a love so brotherly.

.. For it is for my brothers.
