FAME CLAIMS WHITNEY HOUSTON

Fame has claimed another life,
with Whitney's tragic death,
Forty eight is far too young
to have taken her last breath.

Being in the public eye
with cameras always clicking,
Takes a toll on family life
with critics always picking.

Her powerful amazing voice
delighted many fans,
Such accolades bestowed on her,
and applause from many hands.

She achieved so very much
selling millons of records,
Winning Grammys, Emmys, AMAs,
and Music Billboard awards.

She acted in the Bodyguard
and vowed us with her song,
She belted out such ballads,
she seemed to do no wrong.

But pressures became too much,
drink and drugs took hold,
Down a path of tragedy
now never to grow old.

As we mourn Whitney's passing
with heavy hearts and tears,
Her brilliant voice will live on
her music in our ears,

Now with God on heaven's stage
her voice can now extol,
Praising God with with her songs
singing with real soul.
