Octavia all emotional to tears and very tearfully accepts the win of the Oscar for her role as Minny in "The Help" This makes her another winner as she has also been honored by the Golden Globes, The Critics Choice and the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Receiving the Ocsar tops the cake and places her among leading Black, or Afro-American Women making their stars shines. Other film roles of Ms. Spencer inclued "Big Momma's House" and "Bad Santa". Her television roles involve appearing on "Ugly Betty, "The Big Bang Theory", and the Comedy Central show "Halfway Home" along with a few others. This was her first Oscar in a major motion picture.
