Today, February 28, 2012 is being called a sad day for the Church as St. Paul Catherdral was the scenery of evitions of the Occupy London group which were dragged, pulled and arrested. Sadly too was also an resignation of a canon chancellor of St Paul spoke of his dismay after seeing the camp cleared after four months. He quoted: "Riot police clearing the steps of St. Paul's Catherdral was a teriible sight. This is a sad day for the Church." Fraser was much part of the eviction as he also was not permitted to cross over police lines. The City of London Corporation confirmed the removal of all tents and equipment and has ordered a deep clean of the area. The High Court enforcement of officers were employed with the removal in order to ensure safety and maintain order. Fraser said he resigned because he feared the Church was set on a course of action which could lead to the protestors being moved by force. In additon the Dean of St Paul also resigned saying it had been a "testing time" and that his position was untenable.
