1. O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person, Adaam, and from him He created his wife Hawwâ (Eve), and from them both He created many men and women; and fear Allâah through Whom you have mutual rights, and do not cut the relations of Family. Surely, Allâah is Ever an All-Watcher over you.

148. Allâah does not like that the evil should be uttered in public except by him who has been wronged. Allâah is Ever All-Hearer, All-Knower.

149. Whether Mankind disclose by good words of thanks a good deed, done to you in the form of a favour by someone, or conceal it, or pardon an evil, Allâah is Ever Oft-Pardoning, All-Powerful.

150. Truly, those who disbelieve in Allâah and His Messengers and wish to make distinction between Allâah and His Messengers, saying, "We believe in some but reject others," and wish to adopt a way in between.

151. They are in truth disbelievers. We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating torment.

152. And those who believe in Allâah and His Messengers and make no distinction between any Messengers, We shall give them their rewards; and Allâah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

153. The people of the Scripture (Jews) ask you to cause a book to descend upon them from heaven. Indeed they asked Mûsâ (Moses) for even greater than that, when they said: "Show us Allâah in public," but they were struck with thunder and lightningfor their wickedness. Then they worshipped the calf even after clear proofs, evidence, and signs had come to them. Even then, We forgave them. And We gave Mûsâ a clear proof of authority.
