BACKSTAGE: TYLER PERRY GETS AN ORPHEUM STAR!

Stage and movie actor/performer Tyler Perry received his star honors in Memphis on a downtown side walk in front of the Orpheum Theater on Thursday, March 15,2012. Perry is also appearing the weekend in three shows with his new play "Madea Gets a Job" Tyler addressed hundreds who showed up for the presentation on a beautiful mild 80 degrees mid-fall/pre spring day. Memphians celebrated with Him as he cheerfully accepted the honor as one of the Memphis Orpheum Star street honorarees. Show times will be to a mostly sold out crowd as his show is one of the biggest attractions at the Orpheum this weekend. Tyler has performed at the theater 70 times which has also broken a record for the Memphis theater. Many may flock down to take a photograph of his star on the sidewalk along with other O' stars on the walk.
