TRAYVON MILLER'S PARENTS OUTCRY FOR JUSTICE

Three residents have stepped forward on Trayvon's behalf, including the resident that made the 911 call. This particular resident not only made the call, she contacted the police several times to give a statement and said that no one from the police department would return her call. She has been interviewed by many different media giving her statement and still no response from the Sheriff. The other two witnesses stated the same problem. SOOOO...... The Sheriff says there is no evidence to prove that this act was not in self defense, but he also refuses to take the statements of THREE witnesses???

It's not all about what race the shooter was. It's mostly about the fact that the local law does not CARE that this young man was killed for nothing.

I hate to say it, but anytime the Justice Depart or anyone does an investigation all it means is that they are stalling for time and at the end of the day... nothing will become of it. Of course when I heard the story, there was no question in my mind that the incident was racially motivated. When is the last time you heard of a White teen walking in his own neighborhood and being shot, eh? My heartfelt prayers go out to the Martins and I pray that the Holy Spirit will comfort them. Don't look for the Justice system to do it.

I believe much will be accomplished with Trayvon's death than what was possibly expected. It has alerted a new awareness to an old civil problem. Racism has not disappeared. It is a continuous forematter. One that is a cause for every human to take a look at themselves, and learn to rectify that guns, killing and violence is never a solution. I truly believe the solution will always be love. The outcry of justice is to love.

Thank you IR such wisdom is welcomed without limits. Our next generation will need such encouragement.

@HeyJen! .. you seem very certain that nothing will come of the case; and I really can convey with your opinion. Not to blind the fact is true, this is a repetition of many youthful death cases exactly much similar to TM's. I still like to give my support to have hope for a better outcome; like TM's Dad said, if they'll look at evidence just perhaps at least justice might will be served, If nothing happens of it, it has aroused our awareness-- and that may make some snail's crawl in a long milestone. I don't know, I'm just hoping for the best of it all and for his family to find a closure to move on.

Jen, are you saying that you feel the legality system of justice will not be in his favor to have Zimmerman arrested and charged with murder? Correct me and perhaps elaborate a bit.

I agree that this crime was horrible. But it does happen to other races too. It is all wrong. True this young man had no business walking at night through a gated subdivision which clearly post that there is no trespassing by nonresidents or guest of residents. He DID NOT deserve to lose his life.

I do think the black community is very quick to call the "race" card, it happens to all races. Read below for just one example recently.

Petterson said Haley’s dog “Teddy” got loose around 9:30 p.m. Sunday night, and she was trying to retrieve the dog when two black girls approached her. “They said ‘This is our territory white girl,’” he said. “One grabbed her by the hair, and the other one started hitting her in the face.”

You're correct; I won't feel hopeful that justice will prevail for Trayvon, because of the long history of how these things go when its Black men and Black kids who are murdered. Don't get me wrong, I believe in justice, but I disagree with the way in which the parents are going about obtaining justice for their child. It just seems pathetic. Did the cousins live in the "gated community" or was it the parents because people who live in a gated community signify people with money in my mind.

Oh well that's besides the point, but for me I'd hire the best Attorney and Private Investigator that money could buy in order to go about justice the legal system's way. Do these folk have a lawyer because if they don't how can justice be swift for Trayvon? Where is the attorney or attornies??? I've signed the above petition and hope that many other people will, too. But why go that route when you can just hire an attorney to get justice,eh? That's just me.

Very true. But let's be for real, Race is the main factor that caused Trayvon his life that night and there is no two ways about it. Now to state it, is another story. I wouldn't have done that if I truly wanted to pursue justice swiftly. Once race enters the picture, people get sensitive on both sides. Most Black people I know, especially when they have boys teach them how to stay alive meaning they tell them how to respond when pulled over or questioned by the police and for goodness' sake, what the heck is he doing walking at night in a Gated Community with a hoodie?

Listen don't go there with the story of the little handicapped girl. We don't need to hear it. We're talking about Justice for Trayvon.



I remember the time my husband and me were looking to buy another house. He wanted to go by and have one last look at the house which was in a section where there weren't minorities at 11 pm at night. I said listen honey, let's rethink this. Perhaps we can look at that house at 11 am tomorrow instead. Ok. This is how Black folk do things to stay alive. Race is what it is in America, but to make this whole basis of this case about race is already a FAIL. Black need to understand something... We can't go throwing the race card around when we truly need justice because it the ultimate insult and barrier to getting people to want to help our cause even when things are pointing to Race. Just keep the race card out of it and go on and do what needs to be done.

Its alright if you disagree, but lets wait and see what these folks should really have done once the verdict is in. At best, the parent's of Trayvon will see Mr. Zimmerman have his weapon revolked or suspended for a time and pay a fine. Then what? I'd be filing for a Wrongful Death Lawsuit against Mr. Zimmerman and whatever else the Justice Department decides to do is its business. At least getting money to start a College Fund or some type of Nonprofit against Violence against Youth or Black Boys in Trayvon's name would ensure that Trayvon isn't forgotten. Whatever... to each his/her own.

@Jen, I now get a better clarity of you voice in the legal system when it comes to real justice. Thanks for for clearer explanation. I'm open to the equality that you mentioned which often is of course; much more difficult to prevail. We do have to wait and see, and we of course, as you've indicated must try. It is very hard to find legal justice that's fair overcome difficult situations which help in prosecuting wrongful death sentences. I think perhaps, TM's parents are seeking to give it good hacking. The attention drawn of this death will hopefully spark in an awakeing that justice starts with representing victims and their familes. Yes, I always, appreciate your opinion.

@IR Please feel free to continue to be a person guided by equality, and one that knows the valuable gift of life and rights of a person when it comes to the treasure of life-giving freedom and freedom of worship when True Christians are often lashed for wanting to keep the love of commandments of God in their lives.

In my concluson:
Overall, it may come to that TM's parents may have to call with their outcry to forgive an enemy. This is a beautiful trait of justice even when it certainly preyed upon the innocent.
