WHEN THE BIRDS BEGIN TO SING

He is peace
In war.
Comfort
In sad times.

With Him, there is pure mercy,

like...
A prisioner's pardon,

A caged bird's release.

He is mercy,
In deliverance.
Freedom from bondage.

With Him, there is pure glory,
Glory like the brightest beacon blinding your sight!

And more than you think you can do. . .
Often the road will be rugged
And the hill insurnmountable, too . . .
But always remember, the hills ahead
Are never as steep as they seem,
And with Faith in your heart start upward
And climb 'til you reach your dream,
For nothing in life that is worthy
Is ever too hard to achieve
If you have the courage to try it
And you have the Faith to believe . . .
For Faith is a force that is greater
Than knowledge or power or skill
And many defeats turn to triumph

Come ..
into my ship
and take helm.
Take me
to seas you've created..
Take me
to new places of bountiful beauty,
Take me
where no tears are shed, or crying,
nor grieving upon the shores..
Take me to mountain tops
that are whiter than snow.
Away!
Away!
I will open the sails..
Taking voyages where
there is no need for imaginations..
for all your creations will be real.
On the deck I'll sit with hands lifted
UP!
Above me the Captain and King!
I did imagined the ship to be called

BEFORE YOU CAN DRY
ANOTHER'S TEARS--
YOU TOO MUST WEEP!

Let me not live a life that's free
From "the things" that draw me close to thee--
For how can I ever hop to heal
The wounds of others I do not fee--
If my eyes are dry and I never weep,
How do I know when the hurt is deep--
If my heart is cold and it never bleeds,
How can I tell what my brother needs--
For when ears are deaf to a beggar's plea
And we close our eyes and refuse to see,
And we steel our hearts and harden our mind,
And we count it a weakness whenever we're kind,
We are no longer following the Father's Way
Or seeking His guidance from day to day--
For, without "crosses to carry" and burdens to bear,"
We dance through a life that is frothy and fair,
And "chasing the rainbow" we have no desire
For "roads that are rough" and "realms that are higher"--
So spare me no heartach or sorrow, dear Lord,
For the heart that is hurt reaps the richest reward,
And God enters the heart that is broken with sorrow
As he opens hte door to a brighter tomorrow,

BEAUTY TIPS

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair, let a child run his or her fingers
through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge
that you will never walk alone.

People, even more than things, have to be restored,
renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed;
Never throw out anybody.
Remember, If you ever need a helping hand,
you'll find one at the end of your arm.

As you grow older, you will discover
that you have two hands, one for helping yourself,
the other for helping others.

The beauty of a woman is not
in the clothes she wears,
The figure that she carries,
or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must
be seen from in her eyes,
Because that is the doorway to her heart,
the place where love resides.

The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole,
But true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.
It is the caring that she lovingly gives,
the passion that she shows.

you've whispered during
the worst moments in my life,

that would make me so happy and fulfilled,
and the gentle words of encouragement
that were meant to strengthen my quests.

I appreciate the moments of sorrow

you experienced during my failures,
and the little gestures of kindness
that always made me feel better.

I appreciate your acceptance,

your ability to understand,
and the sincere friendship
that always gave me such security.

I appreciate the wisdom

of all the lessons you taught,
and the meaning behind the words
"unconditional love."

I appreciate all you've done -

every word and gesture.

Everyone Can't be in Your FRONT ROW !

You cannot change the people around you...but you can change the people you are around! Ask God for wisdom and discernment and choose wisely the people who sit in the FRONT ROW of your life.
Remember that FRONT ROW seats are for special and deserving people and those who sit in your FRONT ROW should be chosen carefully.
Everyone Can't be in Your FRONT ROW!!!

It's amazing what you can accomplish when you let go, or at least minimize your time with draining, negative, incompatible, not-going-anywhere relationships, friendships, fellowships and family!
Everyone Can't be in Your FRONT ROW.

Observe the relationships around you. Pay attention to: Which ones lift and which ones lean?
Which ones encourage and which ones discourage?
Which ones are on a path of growth uphill and which ones are just going downhill?

When you allow anyone in your front row just because you lack the understanding of who you are then they can make a mess of your front row >
the more you seek growth, peace of mind, love and truth around you, the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the FRONT ROW and who should be moved to the balcony of your life.

When you suffer from people pleasing syndrome or always needing someones approval for you to be validated your front row is a mess and life will become hell to pay !

THE PERSON THAT I LONG TO BE

The day light breaks
Another day has begun.

Still no sleep has come
My body is weary.

My mind overworked
I lie thinking.

But what
I am unsure.
need to break free from the cycle I endure.

Everyday is the same nights are undistinguished
as though I am being pushed along with the tide.

Unable to break free the everyday flow.
not me I need to change, before time takes over.

And I
am unable to change.
I need to be freed from the grasp of ordinary
and become that person always longed for.
Express myself in every way, and conquer the dreams as I lie awake.

Then I may fall asleep and put my mind to rest.
Make changes in my life and help those in need.

To touch all life in a positive way
and leave my mark on society before
I fade away.

I wrote this one at a time where I was in what appeared to be true love back then but it really wasn't...

SUN SHINY DAY

Warm and inviting
was how you appeared
yet your touch
was so, so cold
As I looked through a pane
and saw your sunlight beckoning,
calling me to join
you in a forbidden dance
- a tango divine -
where 2 become one
and sway together
in pure air

I saw no trouble
on the horizon
not a cloud
was in the sky
yet your cold slap
to my face
I could not deny
yet I ever was lead
to question
WHY
did you feel the need
to deceive
pretend to be something you were not
how could my eyes
have been so blind
to the signs
...
The frost on the glass between us
not a soul to be found on the street
only you
carrying on a fiesta for one
and any who dared step to you
captivated by your eyes
unaware of the lies
spoken from your lips
on many a winter day

There were no birds chirping
I should have known
The grass and the leaves were brown
I should have known
Smoke arose from chimney tops
I should have know
yet I was so enamored
by the view of you
through unstained glass
thinking that maybe
heat like passion
we could share
yet never in my wildest dreams
did I dare
think that you'd
so coldly
so briskly
so deceptively
leave me there
freezing
shivering
rejected and
alone
tricked once again
by you -
a sun shiny day
in the middle of
WINTER

You fooled me
as I looked through that window
deceived by the bright sun
and the blue skies
thinking I'd accept your invitation
to walk
but as soon as I stepped out the door
and felt your freezing cold
I made a hasty retreat
to the one you envied
- your rival -
the flickering flames and logs
on the fire
where I washed your deception
away
in a mug of hot apple cider
spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg
the heat embraced me and
warmed me to the core
something I never knew
and never will know from you
my deceptive
sun shiny day
in the middle of
