I MISS COOL

Whatever happened to cool?
Somewhere along the way cool lost it's coolness
Hip-hop stayed around a while,
Then radical appeared.
But, whatever happened to cool?
You know,...
that "Yeah Man Cool!"

Now, I hardly ever hear the word cool.

Like that finger popping, heart stopping
you know...
"The Real Cool!"

Daddy cool
Soul dropping
You know? COOL.

Like...cool shoes.
Cool hat.
Cool hair...woooo.
Cooool...CAT!

When you did cool things.

Like
Talked cool
Looked cool
Thought cool
Walked cool.

Did all of sudden something happened to cool?
Cool disappeared overnight,
like
"Out-of-sight!"

I Wrote A Good Omelet

I wrote a good omelet...and ate
a hot poem... after loving you

Buttoned my car...and drove my
coat home...in the rain...
after loving you


I goed on red...and stopped on
green...floating somewhere in between...
being here and being there...
after loving you


I rolled my bed...turned down
my hair...slightly
confused but...I don't care...


Laid out my teeth...and gargled my
gown...then I stood
...and laid me down...


To sleep...

Just an expression...

I BEG Them Sisters...

I beg them sisters most..
Cause they the ones with the jobs.
They ride in the nice cars.

So I walk up politely and say.
How good they looking today.
Then quickly ask if they can spare a dollar.
It used to be a dime, but over time a dime..
it's nothing.
There anin't nothing that you be with a dime.
A donut cost 50 cents and the coffe is 20 plus tax.

I beg them sisters....brothers give you that look..

Like man, get a job!...Be for real.

Is he for real?
So, I on on to the next car and keep begging them sisters..
Cause truthfully they will give.

balancing

like we juggle our mothers
against our fathers

or teacher

3 grains of salt

I AM A MAN

i AM a man
My woman doesn't wait on me
Anymore.
I see her walking across the floor,
Such grace she shows.
Still she doesn't fill my bowl ...with beans
or cut my cornbread with a knife
And puts it on my plate.

I want to be her king...or maybe I just wanna
Be seen.
She knows I am a man.

My woman doesn't talk to me anymore.
She just tells me what's on her mind.
"I'm admiring her from ...behind.
It's soft to me and it's the only time ...
I can
Really touch her.

That's when she acknowleges I'm in the house.
Her voice says: "stop that move now!"
But, I touch her there "anyhow."
I am a man.

She doesn't iron my shirts or my slacks.
I don't give her any smacks,
I kiss her hand.
I know, I am a man.

Her smile is pretty and her attitude is gritty,
I want to be her king or maybe...I just wanna
be seen
by her.
She knows ....I am a man.

I lay in bed beside her and I think of her feeding me eggs..
and wiping my lips...as the morning sun peeps
in.
She goes to the kitchen and stirs the grits in the pot.
Then she calls..."baby, the coffee's hot!"

I say ..okay.

I want to be her king...place diamonds on her hand
or maybe I just wann be seen.

Just so she knows I am a man.

My skin is dark like the mud
Inside is the purity of Christ.
I am not a man.
Yes, I am a woman.

Mostly, I am Christian
A follower of Jesus
A righteous Son of God.

Which melted me into you like being in a trance
I got to admit you are the one in which I gladly submit
Leaving all others without a ghost of a chance

For there is another fire kindling inside of me
A gift everlasting measured by eternity
One that you have willed no doubt, burning with love
A match made in heaven, fitting like a hand in glove

Baby, I will always be grateful for you foreseeing,
The Heaven in me and going after it setting me free
All that I have and all that is within my power

What is above the union of husband and wife
A union of such is a heavenly right
So sweet a union of life
A union void of friction and strife

Oh, that's a union blessed by The Most High
Just the thought of such a union makes one cry
To know your union is touch in such a way
Will forever eliminate the need to pray

What is above the union of husband and wife
A union considered to be an exclusive right
Joined at the head and hip, connected by the power of love
Discharged in a single stream of might
Awe, sweet heaven of pleasures and delight
Such a union worthy of restoring a blind man's sight

A union bringing the strongest man down to his knees
And a humble man smiling with glee
Such a union this is, even the enemy of God is pleased

Who can separated God's union of husband and wife
Woe to the surgeon using his finest surgical knife
For what God put together, let no man put asunder
Or you shall hear Mother Nature's warning
Going into her bag of wonders
Releasing the sounds of thunder

What is above the union of husband and wife
Why there is no math that can calculate such a height
Silencing the words of mortals impressed
Leaving them to make a shape or outline in the air
So looked upon it causes ones to stare

Wow God's union of husband and wife
Is a union destined for a blissful life
What is above the union of husband and wife
A light that shines so bright
Dispelling the darkness in the night

What is between the union of husband and wife
Space and opportunity for the rest of your life!

ATTRACTIVE EYEZ

Bubbling cascading dreamin eyez
calls my love onward unto her morning shine
my heart is flush upon da moment of us
as i look her in da eyez , I see in depth
a morning glory to praise, and a blissful treat
yet lovely moment of connection love beatz


She attracts me with da notion of a blink
the way she look as her eyez begin to speak
dat make me become submissional weak
I caress her intently as i read her eyez
to look upon her i get mesmerize
wit a hypnotic glist of rapidfire
she become my greatest of loves desires


Beyond words i hear her inside my slumber
da whispers of yes ' babe yes " my heart rumble
asking me to behold and comfort
to love and adore wit compassion
to treasure and respect wit cares
all i can do is smile when i look into them eyez


Feeling grow on each look
deep in her eyez a love cook
beyond a touch mentally we clutch
in a sensual cascading creativity
those eyez like da radiant starz above
all i can do is submit my love.
