The former Liberian President Charles Taylor was found guilty of aiding and abetting war crimes and crimes against humanity by supporting Sierra Leone rebels in return for blood diamonds. The 64 year old warlord was given verdit by International judes in The Hague. Presiding Judge Richard Lussick said that prosecutors have proved beyond a resonable doubt that Taylor is "criminally responsible" sources stated. Taylor had pleaded not guilty to 11 counts including murder, rape, terror and consecpting child soldiers. Lussick said that Taylor provided arms of equipment to countless artorcities during 1991-2002 to carry out acts of violences. Taylor now faces a life sentence which will be served out in Britian. Charles Taylor is the first African head of state to ever been convicted by an international court.
