VIDEO: Miss Too Independent – You May Not Be Wife Material
Black and Married With Kids.com
A Positive Image of Marriage and Family
This video was submitted to us and we had to share it. In this emotional video Dr. Antoinette Smith explains to the independent ladies that they might not be wife material. She shares her personal story and how despite having all of the material indicators of success she didn’t have the characteristics necessary for being a wife.
From YouTube:
Dr. Smith gets personal and has a discussion with independent, career-focused women (both married and unmarried). The road map to transitioning from an old mindset to wifely material is available in her book – “You’re More Than What Meets The Eye…The Independent Woman’s Guide to Becoming Wifely Material.”
I love how she talks about the fact that marriage has truly upgraded her. Check the video out below and let us know what you think in the comment section.

Although I realize what this lady is saying, I think what she missed what the arrogance and attitude that comes with thinking one is Miss It. People like this woman before she got married, were thinking that they didn't need anyone because they are doing stuff for themselves and buying stuff for themselves. Being independent is good, but thinking you're all that and being arrogant are entirely different things. This in my opinion is what's wrong with many women especially proactive Black single professional women.
Heck, some of us won't even consider someone without a degree or business when we've achieved such heights, but loneliness can change us for the better at times.
Always stay grounded (humble) no matter what one achieves and know that without the good health that has been given to us and the strength given by God, we could not achieve much on our own. Women like this allow the enemy to deceive them at some point. We have to stay humble at all times.
