Re: Irma's Blog on the Bus Monitor Bullied By Kids on School Bus
Sister Irma,
That was a shame that kids can act like that, eh? I'm not surprised because children can be so cruel to not only other children but to grown ups. I felt really bothered that the American culture is such that children have no manners and respect for seniors. It's one thing to be disrepectful to yound and middle age adults, but be disrespectful to the elderly crosses the line! The good thing that came out of this is that thousands of people have donated nearly $600,000 to the bus monitor so now she can put all this behind her and leave bus monitoring.

For Bullied Bus Monitor, a Windfall to Ease the Pain
An online fund-raising drive for a 68-year-old Rochester woman who was brutally taunted by a group of 12- and 13-year-old boys has proved hugely successful.
