Parents and or guardians of 19 children left them home alone according to news sources in a three bedroom home which was considered filthy and hot. Sources stated that the children ranged from ages 8 months to 14 years of age. The children were heard by neighbors who said they often heard loud crying and whelping. Law officials said the home was contained with dog feces and no air-conditioning. Other reports indicated that the children were also left without food or nourshiment. Parents of the children said they had to leave abruptively for a family emergency, and had asked one their neighbors to keep watch while they were away. Parents of children said they would be returning to find out what happened during their absence and address authorities. Sources stated that the children were home alone at least a week.
