Mexico’s candidate for runner up Lopez Obrador insisted that his team detected irregularities in more than 113,000 of 143,000 voting centres and requested a recount. The official count of the election has confirmed Enrique Pena Nieto’s a victory. The announcement came on Friday, July 06, 2012 with Pena Nieto having 38% of the vote. The recount showed Obrador with 31% of the vote. Just over 99% of the boxes had been counted by Thursday, July 05, 2012 and were double checked due to any possibility of fraud. However, officials have declared Enrique Pena Nieto the Mexican President. Pena Nieto has promised to focus on problem solving in areas of better living conditions and improving communities housing. He wants to focus less on drug cartels, not by omitting them, but using more negoitable ways to prevent violent conditions in killings and murders along with drug traffics.
