BLACKOUT!....
6 million people without power….

A enormous blackout caused power losses after India’ power grid crashed on Monday, July 30, 2012. The blackout resulted in halting transportation in train, airports and leaving over 370 million people in the dark. The blackout was called the worst in India’s in a decade. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Monday as the grid failed due to a huge power demand. Late Monday about 60% of power was restored in eight northern states. Residents were also pressured with heat as they awaited power grids to be repaired. India’s demand for electricity has soured since its economy has grown sharply.
According to news sources it’s a reminder that the country’s has yet met the aspirations of being an economic superpower. However, there are at least one-third of India’s household which do not have electricity. In recent power outages in a Delhi suburb of Gurgaon some citizens clashed with local authorities over loss of their services.

Power authorities are working diligently to restore the two grids, they failed a second time on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 but was restored to have transportation of trains and travel moving again, but not without total frustration as trains is the only travel form for most of Indian’s large population. Millions were left in a gridlock as they were waiting the power’s restoration.

Wow! What a Gridlock--Blackout!!!
