Natalie Hawkins hugged Gabby's brother John as her other daughters Arielle and Joyelle screamed in the background.
Noticeably absent, however, was Gabby's father, Staff Sgt Timothy Douglas of the Air National Guard, who is in the process of divorcing Ms Hawkins.
Their relationship has been strained by his prolonged deployments and almost cost Gabby her gold
