Alcorn Sends Condolences To Family And Friends of Michael Clarke Duncan, an Alcorn State alum.
President M. Christopher Brown II on behalf of Alcorn State University sends its deepest sympathy to the family of Michael Clarke Duncan as they mourn his death. Duncan died today at age 54 at a Los Angeles hospital.
Alcorn mourns the loss of a beloved Alcornite and upstanding man, says President Brown as he deals with his own emotions while discussing Duncan.
“Duncan was indeed a great individual who believed in the good of people. He certainly inspired us all and gave us hope as John Coffey in “The Green Mile". His life was well lived and we appreciate all he did for his Alcorn family. We hope only the best for his surviving family members and loved ones. May they be strengthened and comforted knowing that his contributions and legacy will live on.”
Duncan attended Alcorn in the 80s and was an active member of the Braves basketball team.
