IT JUST TAKES ONE

The Documentary, What Black Men Think, corrects some misconceptions about Black Americans and contridicts statistics circulated through out the media about Americans who are black. We need to start a campaign telling the truth and teaching everyone who will listen, everyone within ear shot, in the churches, schools, and youth groups. Start search groups among the youth and teach them to view every thing they have been taught in the past and in the media with a critical eye and ear. Look at it just the opposite of what they were told. For example: There are more African American males in prison than there are in College.

Teach them why it is necessary for them to maintain the status quo. Nothing will change if we don't change it. We have to take responsibility for our future. Allowing someone else to decide our future has gotten us in the mess we are in now. Teach them from where we've come and what our legacy is. John Kennedy said " Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." Nobody owes you anything. You have a responsibility.

One little womaan started the Alabama bus boycott. It took only one black man to die for the cause (Chrispus Attuck). It took one shot heard round the world to start the revolution. It took one crate of tea to start the Boston Tea party.

People want solution? I just listed some. But first WE NEED TO FOLLOW THE STEPS OUT OF MINORITY THINKING.

I believe that we are in controll of our destiny, and we were provided with the option of choice. I does take one to make a change but it takes a village to encourage, nuture, and love unconditionally. Most importantly, we have to break the chain....we don't have to make the same mistakes that our parents, cousins, or uncles have but it has to start within.....what you think you create......believe in yourself.....just thinking out loud

I have never been a minority thinker, that being said, "One person can move mountain It take only a few to make charge" (Frank Yerby)
