Hankerchiefs are usually kept inside the breast (not pants) inside the pants pocket—unless one needs the cover of a jacket for him to reach in (#1, #2) and pull out paper (#3, #4). then quickly toss the paper in front of his podium his podium (#5, #6) and then unfolded the cheat sheet while continuing to look down (#7, #8).
President Obama – his podium containing only the supplied blank paper at that point – continued to look out at the audience.
