CHANGING POISON INTO MEDICINE...YESTERDAY I HAD SUCH A SEVERE REACTION TO MY CHEMO MEDS UNTIL I ENDED UP IN TH
I was given a chest xray, my heart was monitored and I had a blood test. After all of the test came back as fine, I was given a prescription for an abuterol inhaler and a follow up appointment with my primary care doctor for today.
This was my third chemo treatment with the new chemo that is targeted at only my lung not the whole body. It is called Cetuxumab that kills cancer cells. Its brand name is Erbitux. A reaction on the first treatment was expected, but a slight one that should have been able to be controled by slowing sown the drip of it into my arm. The first treatment went fine, the second was kind of bad and a shot of oxygen did the trick when I had an asthma attack. Shortness of breath is expected as a possiable side effect with this med, but me, I have suffered with asthma all of my life. Yesterday was a doozy that frighten all involved.
I don't take chemo next week and when the next week comes, I know I will be getting a brand new form of med. I am sure this one was the #1 choice so now it will be on to plan B I am sure. lol.(smile)
My next CT scan is being set up and hopefully thee is no more cancer left...but, I will settle for it has not spread any...

I have sent this to the church elders and we are praying for you !
