9:48AM EST December 6. 2012 - Look out: Here comes another Clinton vs. Obama race.

Make that Bill Clinton and Michelle Obama, and the contest is for a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album.

The former president — who has already won two of these awards — and the first lady were nominated on Wednesday, along with TV's Ellen DeGeneres, MSNBC talk show host Rachel Maddow and singer Janis Ian.

STORY: Grammy nominations go long on youth

Obama is up for American Grown, her story about growing vegetables in the White House garden and getting healthy food to the table. Clinton's effort is the recording of his book, Back to Work, which was chock full of ideas on how to grow the economy and strengthen the federal government.

The Grammy for Spoken Word Album has been given out in one form or another going back to 1959. As a U.S. senator, Barack Obama took home the prize in 2006 for his recording of his memoir, Dreams from My Father.

As for Clinton, he's not the only person in his family with a Grammy. Hillary Rodham Clinton won the Best Spoken Word Album prize in 1997 for her recording of her book, It Takes a Village.
