Olivia Culpo won the title of Miss Universe on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Culpo is a 20 year from Rhode Island, NY Miss Culpo won over 88 contestants. As for the cellist of 13 years she has performed with the Boston Symphony Hall and Carnegie Hall in New York. It’s been 15 years since and American won the Miss Universe pageant.. The pageant was televised from Los Vegas. Second runner up was Miss Philippines, Janine Tugonon. Now Miss Culpo is well on her way to having represent the U.S. in a most universal way. “What a honor! This night was a dream come true! USA finally did it.” Quoted Culpo from her Twitter page.
