The medical boards try their best to make sure that every licensed physician is current with best practices, education, and training requirements. I used to have a website where you could look up a doctor by their license number to find out if he/she had any pending litigations, complaints, or disciplinary actions against them. I'll try to find that link. I have it somewhere saved to one of my many Yahoo file folders.

Yep!!! I've worked the ER and it happens. If the ER or radiologist does't catch the error, its likely to not be caught because the way things are ... people / patients are in and out like revolving doors! It's unfortunate for the patients and their families especially if there are small kids... the kids are the ones who feel the loss the MOST!

This is so tragic. Using SRT, we heal medical people. When you heal the healers, you heal a whole community. I am so passionate about helping people to find out about SRT because it works! And a lot of this kind of thing can be prevented.

I agree with you, Gregory. But what a lot of people do not realize is that rich people often get terrible medical treatment as well. In the U.S., medicine is a business and patient care often gets sidelined to business interests. One of the few positive things I can say about the UK - we still have free medical treatment for all here.

There is nothing for free. Taxes and HIGH taxes are being paid for what you call FREE.

Also note that people with money get the best because he who pays the Piper, dictates the tune as evidenced by the VIP suites in hospitals here in the States.

When I say "free", I mean free at the point of delivery. So no one ever has to worry about whether they can afford the cost of medical treatment.

Steve, there are many difficulties associated with living in the UK. It is a racist society, among other things. Black people came here in large numbers in the 1950s and '60s (although there have been Black people living here since Roman times and there were large communities of Black people in London in Elizabethan days). They were treated shamefully and one still encounters the attitude that we don't belong here. Check out this blog post:

No, Jen and Jake, it is a myth that rich people get good-quality health care in the States. Sir Elton John was misdiagnosed when he had pneumonia last year - VIP suite notwithstanding.

John wasn't misdiagnosed. He had the flu which is a virus and aren't treated with antibiotics rather the symptoms are treated such as fever and pain from muscle aches. Many times, flu results in bronchial or lung infections for which John experienced as complication of flu. The guy was walking around thinking he still was getting over the flu. That isn't the hospital or doctor's fault.

Typically people with money in the STATES are treated as VIOs although I do understand that doesn't happen over there where you live in Royal Country.

I was looking at the 2009 health scare where Elton came down with pneumonia so disregard the comment to Zhana. These people believe so much in their Univ Health Care. I would speculate that Elton probably suffers from chronic bronchitis that made it appear that he was misdiagnosed. In my experience, it can be hard to distinguish. Moreover, it's not un-common in someone who has chronic issues like bronchitis to have exacerbation s of the condition especially in older people like Elton, frequent travel, little rest, and performing in rain, cold, and what knot.

No, Jen, I was not talking about 2009, I was talking about last year when EJ was misdiagnosed in the States. In the States, people think that if you are rich, you get good quality healthcare, but that is a complete myth.

I was told this many years ago before I moved to the UK and I did not believe it, but it is definitely true, as I know now.

In the UK, it is different as healthcare is free at the point of delivery. So no, do not DISREGARD what I have said. It is your choice, actually, if you want to ignore the facts as I did in the past.
