I agree Siebra.
And the one great factor is war. War is generally seen as legitimate violence. End war and you gain two things, the example of peace instead of violence, and the wherewithal to rebuild our poverty stricken neighborhoods, further promoting peace.

Sad this young woman had to die like this. If they are not shooting, they are knifing or clubbing, and they are doing it not with assault rifles, nor are they mentally ill, nor are they getting the guns in any way that would be caught by more background checking.
More people are killed every year by bare-handed murder or knives than are killed by assault rifles. We live in a culture of violence, no respect for law, and no accountability. Until that changes, you can take away all the guns you want. It will make no difference. The killing will continue.
