I was once naïve enough to believe that every American was worthy of respect from our politicians, without regard to race. I also thought that since Obama could never have been elected without unprecedented black support, the administration might put us on the priority list along with other groups (not at the front of the list, of course, since that would imply that black people are as important as everyone else. The good Lawud knows I would never ask for such a thing, I knows my place). I even had the audacity to believe that when our children are shot, or when our fathers/mothers are given 30 year prison sentences for petty crimes, a black politician might at least act like he gives a d@mn. But now I realize that I was wrong and I’ll probably gain a lot of friends because of it.

black unemployment and incarceration crises, the facts are plain: Black people are not supposed to ask President Obama for anything. Only whites, Jews, gays, women, labor groups and illegal immigrants are allowed to expect anything from the president Administration ,

I support Obama to the fullest but there is a cry coming from the people !

Cynthia Merrill Artis Wednesday, February 6th 2013 at 12:09AM

Yes, we all know that's Dr. West's cry.. with the restructured tax cuts - that helped us... He's not going to touch Social Security - government commodities, social services programs they need to be restructured...

I mean restructure affirmative action, set up more federal housing units or make some provisions .... I mean what exactly can he do for a "set" of people... when you still have other sets to pacify.

Immigrants that have come in here and have been here for a long time, work here, get married here, have babies in hospitals here, send there children here; and somehow never got caught until years later and some State official tell them they have to leave.

If they really wanted to control that; there should have been strict migrant restrictions in place. Now, POTUS has to make a moral and legal decision....

Gun Control is a priority

Budget Balances

A Viable Economy

gettin some minority judges added to the supreme court..

Honestly I believe in POTUS, he's got our back!

The Dream is not dead! Continue to pray that God will reveal his sacred mysteries unto those who still believe in the dream. The sacred mysteries of God is able to confound the wise.

Thanks for the link David, you know I've made a copy of every proverb from that site. I can remember when my children were young, they asked me why were so many Africans taken from Africa if the people knew what was going on. I had to say that the Africans were naive and didn't know how to set traps to prevent their capture.

Hello to all,

I’ve been constantly telling you dummies that only God cans help us as it was only God that could have helped the Children of Israel as well.

Even if an Israelite was elected in the house of Pharaoh it would not have mattered. Two different people can not equally exist in one country that belongs to the Egyptians. So, God led the Children of Israel out of Egypt and into their Promise Land and the same God has already begun to do for us Black Americans.

We are going to come into a reasonable and fertile portion of this continent that we could call our very own country. Did not Dr. King say that he saw our Promise Land?

But, let us know one thing for sure and that is when God decides to help a people the first thing that God must do and always do is to anoint a prophet and that has already happen when God anointed me, Prophet Harry.

Why it is that your all can not think in a straight line? Why do I have to keep calling you all stupid?
