African Women

Countless human colors;
Within, across, races;
God's earthly flower garden;
Blessing to mankind.
Africa mother stock;

Home of germination;
Divine manifestation,
Until whole earth bedded.
Beauty more than a trait;
Diversity most beautiful;

Monocolor too boring;
Races beauty of earth.
Races like rainbow;
Earth horizon beautified,
To His glory above;
All that dwell rejoice.

Chief Charles O. Okereke

Cynthia, I'm letting mine grow out. It's salt and pepper and is trying to imitate Einstein.

When I was in Tunisia, I didn't see anybody that looked like the representative shown here.

Thomasena Martin-Johnson Thursday, March 21st 2013 at 4:20PM

I have no idea how these women were selected. I did see a few that were not models. I actually prefer documentary photography to fashion photography, but I have done both, though none in Africa unfortunately.

I didn't see but one that I questioned. All the rest look black to me. Robert, All of the Europeans with dark hair and dark eyes, ie greeks Itallians, Spanish French all of northern Africa All of asia and asia minor, Russian, Germans and especially jews( not a race) chinese and japanese hawaiians and other islanders, have the drop so they are all black. How Black do you have to be for Black people (colored, African American and Negroes) etc. to accept black people. Being black is like being a little bit pregnant. All people of color are the same race what ever we call it. NONE OF THE REST OF THEM HAVE A PROBLEM---ONLY IN THE U S OF A.

Cynthia Merrill Artis Saturday, March 23rd 2013 at 6:56PM

Thomasena, Tunisia.... I think i know the one you are talking about... BUT I gotta go back in to see....

Cynthia Merrill Artis Saturday, March 23rd 2013 at 7:04PM

YEP.. that's the one THAT caught my eye, she and South Africa.

BUT is it me or does it appear that these women sorta "europeanized" some of their looks - I detect green contacts and hair weave? I would like to see more "African" natural beauty...

again, i might be olde and blind

------ but the BLOG SUBJECT says African Women-----and Chief Charles O. Okereke DOES NOT mention 'black' in his POEM......

THESE women DO NOT REPRESENT the Beauty of the Family Development in Africa......

in my opinion.....

Steve Williams Monday, March 25th 2013 at 2:58AM

I think Robert may be bored. I think he may have missed Miss Republic of the Congo.
