PETRAEUS APOLOGIZES
MARCH 2013
Day 26
L.A., California
Former CIA Director David Petraeus announced a public apology in his speech at the University of California on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. In his statement he gave his apology stating that "it was of my own doing." The former CIA official resigned in November 2012 after discovery of his extra-marital affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell. The scandal caused much embarrassment to his family and to many of his supporters. Petraeus's apology came with insight to mend and move on which was his message to the group. Petraeus may have also wanted to mend fences with those who trusted him and also to think of his military background as a lining more stronger than his weakness of the affair's failure in his career.
Okay.
