Maya Angelou's celebrates her 85th Birthday April 04. In a PBS television interview Maya's gives tribute to her mother. She discussed her most memorable moments with reflections of her mom. Ms. Angelou said that she credits her mother's advice for teaching lessons of kindness and elements that love heals. Her mother she said always advice patience. She urges families to also use patience with their children and with oneself when it comes to training and raising children. Lastly, Ms. Angelou stated that people need to remember the lesson of kindness.

She wasn't nothing to be played with in her hayday... this woman was married to not one, but two white men and the third one she didn't marry but was a S. Afrikan brother. She was something fierce!
