So lately I've been studying up on Africa and the diversity there and have been coming across these articles about Africa's middle class emerging and making a booming impact in the business world. One article even estimates Africa's middle class to about 350 million people! Now, of course there are areas in Africa stricken with famine and poverty but still, that's a middle class of about 20 million more people than the entire population of the United States! Who knew? McDonald's franchise anyone?? (lol)
How do you feel about Africa's emerging success? I was glad to see this because we rarely get any news on sub-saharan Africa and when we do, most of it is the filtered bad stuff or the typical missionary "feed the children." Personally, I say that it's about time!

Hello Ms.Failis,
Black Americans who are descendents of plantation slaves are not African people. Black Americans are a new race of people about 500 years old. Ask me how I know this and can I prove it and I will.
So, in our present subjugated conditions we have not the energy to be concern about the African middle class am I making sense?
