He may be old; but he made the climb. ...
Yichiro Miura an 80 year Japanese man has made the climb before, but that was when he was 75 years old. He being 80 has broken the record as being the oldest to ever climb. But...he has a rival that will possible dethrone him as a 81 year old Nepalese man Min Bahadur Sherchan is also set off to do the climb in a couple of days. Miura and his grandson took the climb and reached the summit. Miura said that he was totally exhausted, but said he could do quite well. Miura said the climb made him a happier man and that being in the highest place on earth was a challenge to his own limit. Miura gave honor to Mother Nature. As far as the competition he said it doesn't matter to him.
