A YEAR WITHOUT YOU

It has been a year without you
It has been a year of firsts without you
Birthdays, Holidays, Weekends
Days, Mornings, Nights

It has been a year without you
But not one day without a thought of you

It has been a year without you
But it seems like a yesterday with no tomorrow
Holding onto a constant today

You have seen me fall and get back up
Stand strong to fall back down
You have seen me smile and laugh while crying and hurting

It has been a year without you
Giving me you like no one can ever do

It has been a year without you
And although time has flown by to never come again
I want you to know that this last year hasn't
Made me miss you any less

It has been hard but the love you left inside me
Has helped make it easier

It has been a year without you
And even though the words go unsaid
And I miss you as if it was just yesterday
Nothing has changed

And that should say just how much I love you
And although I hurt each passing minute
I love you more each passing day
