(Video) Evang. Pat Robertson Says: A ' Vomit ' Button Needed for Pictures of Gay Couples Kissing on FaceBook

Pat Robertson ... responding to a viewer who wondered whether it was sinful to 'Like' Facebook photos of same-s*x couples kissing, Robertson said that Facebook needs a 'Vomit' button for such pictures. Do you think his comment was appropriate. Of course the group that posted this has only posted this one part so the video isn't in context and we can't hear the total context of the remark.

So the actual clip starts with the statement at 0.10 and he appears to light heartedly say he'd push the vomit vomit although he knows there is no such thing, but the answer he actually gives is that when one LIKES people of same s*x in pictures kissing on Facebook that they are in a sense condoning the thing they are doing in the picture... I don't agree with him, because I don't see that accepting friendships with someone on Facebook is an agreement other than networking or friending someone.

Miisrael Ok, I found the actual segment after some serious investigative work!

So the actual clip starts with the statement at 0.10 and he appears to light heartedly say he'd push the vomit button rather than the ' like' button although he knows there is no such thing. However, the answer he actually gives to the person seeking clarification is that when one 'LIKES' people of same s*x in pictures kissing on Facebook that they are in a sense condoning the thing they are doing in the picture...

I don't agree with him, because I don't see that accepting friendships with someone on Facebook is an agreement other than networking or befriending someone. This limited interpretation of what the actual purpose of the ' like' feature on Facebook is an example of how some well meaning Protestant Evangelicals twist up the scriptures and in turn mess up their parishioners. That's a TOTALLY insane understanding of social media feature.

I guess Rev. Pat hasn't read the scripture stating get wisdom and understanding, eh!

Proverbs 4:7
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

The Message Bible reads
Proverbs 4: 3-9 When I was a boy at my father’s knee,
the pride and joy of my mother,
He would sit me down and drill me:
“Take this to heart. Do what I tell you—live!
Sell everything and buy Wisdom! Forage for Understanding!
Don’t forget one word! Don’t deviate an inch!
Never walk away from Wisdom—she guards your life;
love her—she keeps her eye on you.
Above all and before all, do this: Get Wisdom!
Write this at the top of your list: Get Understanding!
Throw your arms around her—believe me, you won’t regret it;
never let her go—she’ll make your life glorious.
She’ll garland your life with grace,
she’ll festoon your days with beauty.”
