August 15, 2013. Dear Elijah List readers,Please forward this to your friends who can join us in prayer for Christians, Church buildings and Christian businesses that are under attack in Egypt. This has been largely under-reported. This is a very, VERY serious situation that is unprecedented in Egypt. The "Muslim Brotherhood" is attacking Christians all over Egypt. Some Churches have been burned and Christians have been killed. While blessing our enemies, we also need to pray in fervency and in faith for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Egypt.

Together in prayer!!

Urgent Prayer Needed: Muslim Brotherhood Takes Aim at Christians, Churches in Egypt
Christians in Egypt are being killed and kidnapped.

(Egypt)—As pro-Morsi protesters and the Muslim Brotherhood have escalated attacks against Egyptian Security Forces this week, major violence has also been unleashed against Christians in the country.

According to a CBN News report, the "most recent count is over 50" churches and Christian institutions that have been attacked or destroyed.

The report stated that "Brotherhood members in Cairo have been overheard saying, 'If you find a Christian, kill him!'"

Meanwhile, a more conservative faction—the Islamist Salafis—are condemning the attacks.

Please continue to pray for our brothers and sisters-in-Christ in Egypt.

'Condemning Egypt’s Crackdown, Obama Cancels Joint Military Exercises: His Options Few, Obama Rebukes Egypt’s Leaders'

..."Condemning the violence that erupted in Egypt on Wednesday, President Obama announced on Thursday that the United States had canceled next month’s planned military exercise with Egypt. “The Egyptian people deserve better than what we’ve seen,” Mr. Obama said from his vacation retreat on Martha’s Vineyard. President Obama warned of future steps but made no mention of cutting off $1.5 billion in United States military and economic aid to Egypt in wake of the massacres. “America wants to be a partner in the Egyptian people’s pursuit of a better future,” Mr. Obama said."...

Is there any Muslim in Egypt that has been captured burning a church in Egypt?

the Military of General SISI(pronounced seesee-not sissy)
----before the Camera-2013: has Murdered peaceful democrats(men, women and children) and BURNED places of Worship ----Alive and dead people in the Masjid.

Iqwaan AlMuslimeen have been an organized social organization in Egypt for 85 YEARS and NEVER in their History have they descecrated religious structures
.....why would they do that now -- they got to worried about the Christian SISI and his snipers

so let us not JUMP on a LIE---and OWN it----

@Rob,

Thank you for your contribution, but I would like to point you to facts...

..."As pro-Morsi protesters'..." Have burned Christian Churches and the Military Govt has retaliated by shooting people on the spot not specifically for burning churches, but for violence an unrest.

again:

CNN, BBC, Reuters, AlJazeera and MANY others have NO FILM of Democratic Patriots in Egypt of descecrating religious structures.....

yes, the Military Junta has suspended the Rule of Law, the Constitution and committed War Crimes against an Elected Government............

I don't write that---the USA, EU, and the Organization of African States DO

if anyone is burning churches in Egypt it is the sissys or the Israeli mossad.........

Jen Fad Saturday, August 17th 2013 at 3:13AM

Ok. It's probably not going to help this conversation to say that it's another Iraq with many groups, countries financing the unrest and blaming it on one another.

Moreover, I don't believe there is necessarily anything wrong with Christians praying for others of the faith. It's what is suppose to happen when trouble happens.

powell robert Saturday, August 17th 2013 at 12:28PM

No it is not IRAQ,
-------remember; President George Bush started a Crusade in Iraq and tilted the 1000+ YEAR RULE of IRAQ.

Egyptians, Democratically Elected a President and Parliament AND the military trained by USA for Israel staged a Military Coup............

are copticChristians believers LIKE Catholics, Baptists, Presbytarians, Mormons, Pentecostals, 'blackORwhite' paganChristians?

Prayer is for the Benefit of the one who Prays to his/herCreator.......

Jen Fad Saturday, August 17th 2013 at 1:53PM

Of course, you're right again; it was President George W. Bush that started Iraq war! How could you not know I was drawing a parallel, eh? Besides, copticChristians are (according to my research on wikipedia) a community of people whose ancestors came to follow the Way(s) and teachings of the Gospel taught and established by the Apostles as they were asked to spread the News of the New Way across the world beyond the Jewish people. Apparently Saint Mark established a huge following and church in Alexandria among the Egyptians.

Nevertheless, I agree that prayers are made to the Creator and I made and will continue to make mine for Egypt and the safety of its inhabitants especially copticChristians deliverance and safety; furthermore, that what the evil ones are planning, not come to fruition.

Jen Fad Saturday, August 17th 2013 at 2:35PM

And the copticChristians are different from ProtestantChristians but I would beg to disagree that they are different from Catholic Christians since the doctrines are similar. By the way, the word 'Catholic' translates to mean ' universal church ' and was the primary church started by Saint Peter as he was directed by Jesus some time after Jesus arose from the Tomb. Catholics say Jesus, the Messiah gave His First Great directive to Peter with the keys to the Kingdom speech entrusting Peter to convert people to the New Way.

This decree also was given to the other 11 disciples as well before the Ascension took place.

Besides Catholics can go anywhere in the world and rest assured that the services will be the same.

Whereas Go to a Protestant Church service whether Baptist, Evangelical, Seven Day Adventist, ect,... no service is the same. It's rather confusing.

I digress.

as for YOUR subject

.............I lived in Egypt and I also found many to be great Believers

.............And he found them a great Believers .............I lived in Egypt and I also found many to be great Believers

Define what you call great believer. It's all relative.

They are People of the Book

People of the Book are Monotheistic Believers of the Words and Prophets of the Creator of Adaam(as)

People of the Book follow Adaam/Nuh/Ibraheem/Musa/, all Prophets and Isa ibnMaryam(saw)

People of the Book follow AtTaurat, AzZaboor, and the Law of Musa(as)

People of the Book follow The Belief of the Creator of Adaam(as).

They do not use paganGreek/paganRoman symbols and language to understand the CREATOR

they pray, they fast, they pay alms --- they are Believers.......

...they pray, they fast, they pay alms --- they are Believers.......

That for your clarification, but I think it's still relative to what one believes. I know many people who are good believers.

Jen Fad Tuesday, August 20th 2013 at 9:42PM

And on that note, I agree to disagree with you on what constitute a good believer.

powell robert Wednesday, August 21st 2013 at 10:26AM

MOST importantly
------copticChristians DO NOT believe the paganGREEK/Roman Christianity and they DO NOT use the King James Version of Events......
