Last night on Showtime, ”Jay Z Presents: Made In America“ documentary aired. Director Ron Howard captured behind the scenes of the 2012 inaugural Made In America festival in its beginning stages. The footage includes D’Angelo, Janelle Monae, Odd Future, Miike Snow, Pearl Jam, Run-D.M.C., Passion Pit, Santigold, Jill Scott, Rita Ora and Kanye West.
“Music is a form of expression. Its hows you feel, and when you have new experiences, it’s your job as an artist to grow, it’s your job as a human being to grow. Your responsible for what you learn because you’re responsible for what you know,” Jay Z explains in the documentary. Made In America is a platform for all types of artists to come together and put on a huge festival for the fans, no matter what genre or background.
