Unfortunately, the movie is only being shown in South Africa but has grossed over 147,000 during it's first opening at the box office. The movie opened in South Africa on Thursday, November 28, 2013. The movie is based on the life and times of Nelson Mandela which is also the book based title of his autobiography. The movie did make a small debut in New York and Los Angeles. The British production was mounted success with it's first week debut, but longevity of it's showing may cause quite of stir for others to see the movie in limited areas of South Africa and may cause it to elevate to world audiences as well.

My heart can't take movies like this. It was only until recently that I could bear to watch " Roots" after so many years.
